"The wave"
About this work
What would you feel as an endless field of flowers blown by the wind? Pulled, torn and caressed by spontaneous waves, all at the same time.
"The wave" is the result of my pursuit of capturing the peak moment of emotions and inspired by Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa".

"In the name of Eve "
About this work
This work is an ode to femininity. Femininity in all its immense beauty that glows from inside to outside, shining with confidence, subtle seduction and tenderness... The power that has been present in women since the time of Eve.
I was searching for forms and shapes of femininity, eager to discover the lines around feminine nature with its mystery and sensuality, hues of sexuality and seduction.

"Hypnotized worshippers "
About this work
Years ago during snorkelling in Mexico I had a unique chance of witnessing circling school of fish in the water. I was stunned by the captivating movement of hundreds of silver fishes, they were just going around and around and around in their amazing nirvana dance...I was watching them for what seemed like ages, hypnotized. They were one whole moving force, powerful and fragile, all as one following this invisible line, creating a perfection in their performance.

"In blue heavens "
About this work
This rustling sound above your head ... A few seconds and they are gone. They flashed like a shadow, leaving us in thought and speculation about their free journey. What horizons and landscapes appear to them? How does it feel like to soar between heaven and earth? What does it mean to cut with your wings through streams of air and not notice admiring glances from the earth?

"Caught in red"
About this work
Red colour...it is more than just a hue. It symbolizes so many things, painful and pleasurable. It evokes so many feelings the moment eye spots it. It can look so classy, but it can present itself quite vulgar. It is the strongest and the boldest colour of all, there is simply no match to it. It makes gold and black to find their perfect place in this majestic surroundings.

About this work
What makes life to find its way through obstacles and to find means to exist? What happened to those late coming buds nobody expected to flourish on fading away branches so late in the season? "Time is still"
About this work
Time is the most abstract substance. At the same time, it is the most predictable and the most unforeseen media of all. It exists without our desire or control. We try shaping it and to tame it while we exist, it works with or brutally against us. Time owns us at all times, whether we think of it on the long term or in seconds. Time doesn't give in or compromise, it exists even when we think there is no more time.

Fading away in their shapes and colors, we vaguely keep in our memories our faraway past. Those landscapes which shaped our imagination without us even noticing. This are colours and shapes of my forgotten lands

"Untangling my thoughts"
About this work
Thoughts.... So very many of them, they are running through, inside and out like hi-speed trains. Sometimes they cripple and puzzle mind and start their complicated dances. Trying finding their loose ends or beginnings almost impossible. They are bright and dull, colorful and translucent, they are provocative and calming, each of them radiates its own light and energy. They could create a beautiful shawl if you could use them as yarn. But before, they need to be untangled and unraveled

"Hidden treasures"
About this work
When I was little, I loved to play with other kids in the garden creating little hidden treasures and hiding them in the dirt. We would use little pieces of broken glass, layering them with some colorful shiny objects (as chocolate wrap) at the inner side of the glass and bury those in soil all over the garden. Then we would look for the hidden pieces and carefully wash away top soil layer, exposing shiny glass with hidden object inside.
I always had a thrill while playing that game and I would always remember those memories many years later. It felt magical - to create a little glass window in dirt with something shiny and precious hidden inside...

"Procrastination at its best"
About this work
I have it almost every day. I postpone my work, work which is important, work which I have ran a million of times and planned it over and over in my head. I almost know every step ahead of times. I am ready for it, all I really need right now - is to start.
That is where is getting complected.
I suddenly find a million of things to do and to care for (at least, one extra target, all it needs). I understand that this are distractions and I must work around them with understanding of this weirdest phenomenon..
Perhaps Gods don't want us to get over-excited over our passions?

"Memories of the Sunday morning"
About this work
This work was created with a touch of figurative approach – though flowers on the painting are not forced to look and feel by the viewer as “flowers”, the composition was created with faded flowers in mind…while dusting one of my books in a long forgotten shelf dried faded petals fell down from within the pages. Nostalgic mood is represented in this work and intend to evoke slight melancholy.

"In search of light"
About this work
This painting has more physical layers (paint and resin) I could ever imagine in one work. I had one idea from the beginning - to create a feeling of light, even a distant one, enough for me to realize I have found it in the painting.. I had an idea of my palette and felt the composition.
It took me few more extra months searching the feeling of light through sanding and layering my work over and over, removing and adding constantly....I was never satisfied until the very end.

"Breakthrough"
About this work
This work represents literally what it is called. Done with negative white spacing, composition includes multiple vertical blocking of vivid colors, standing out of the white background. White spacing - as a representation of blank and stillness, empty spacing or untouched space – is the surface for lively colorful ideas and possibilities to break through. Although blocks are vivid, they are not meant to create cheerful and scattered emotions. They are well controlled in their relationship within the entire composition, colors are gradually transferring one to another, creating beautiful ombre effect. With sharp contrasting, this work is created to evoke powerful emotional feelings of newness and possibilities, ideas and new being.

"Cat in the garden"
About this work
Floral motif represents a flower-fall. While this work was being epoxied (with no cats plans in mind), my cat landed on to the recently applied sticky resin on the surface of the painting... The name took off from there.
Work needed to be re-finished but the experience of my cat's ability to walk in to my painting is priceless.

"Wind blows west"
About this work
With the simple subject as a flower, the intention of this work was to evoke emotions of belonging. We all have our homes, our places, our heart destinations. "Plum water"
About this work
Violets and Purples are queens in this work. While working on one of my daily studies, I was inspired by the effect of few shades blending together on a white bed of paint. I fell in love with it and decided to create "Plum water". This inspiration took me back to the beautiful land of Uzbekistan, where I got to spend happy summer months during my childhood.
